When sailing our boats it is important that you are aware of the drinking driving laws on the canal, anyone under the influence should not be in charge of the boat at any time as you are still in charge of a motorized vessel and the police may be called in the event of a report or at the discretion of the staff when the boat is returned.

 

Self Drive Day Boat Hire (Up to 12 Passengers including pets)

(A booking fee of £50 is required to secure your booking) Your remaining balance will be due four weeks before the date of hire if you are booking less than four weeks in advance the full balance will be required at the time of booking.

 

On the day you will be required to provide us with a form of photo ID Eg. passport or driving licence and a £150 Security deposit will be required this will be cash only, it will be returned to you, on the safe return of the boat providing there is no loss, damage or lateness. during your induction you will have been made aware of your return time, please ensure the boat is returned on time. late returns will be charged an additions £40

The Macclesfield Canal summit is a narrow canal wending its way from Bosley through Macclesfield, Bollington, Poynton to Marple. Our dayboats transport you through beautiful scenery including views of Macclesfield Forest, 6 & Fiddle, Kerridge ridge & white Nancy, then Lyme Park & views across the Cheshire Plain to the north. There's some quaint old pubs, lovely little cafes or places to stop for a picnic. It really is ideal for a relaxing day afloat with family or friends

Onboard you'll find everything you need from a two ring-hob, sink, cutlery and crockery there is also a WC.

tea coffee and sugar is onboard we just ask you bring your own milk

We do allow pets onboard so if you are thinking of bringing the dogs feel free to do so.

Both of our boats are fitted with trackers, so we know where you are at all times. If you do need any assistance we can pin point your location and assist you as soon as possible. We can also give you a little prompt if we think your running a little behind.
